Linda Lunn took over the role of collecting for the Leprosy Mission at the White Church, from Hilary McGregor who died last year. Donations of cash in collection boxes and donations of used postage stamps are now passed on to the Leprosy Mission by Linda.
An annual focus for support of the Leprosy Mission is to designate one Sunday in the early part of the year as a World Leprosy Sunday. The date for Fairhaven URC’s World Leprosy Sunday in 2019 was 14th April, and a collection after our Sunday Worship using donation envelopes raised £338.90.
This year, between 27th January and 27th April, donations are being doubled by the UK government, so the donations collected at the White Church on 14th April will be doubled to £677.80.
