White Church members Judith and Mike Fenton completed the Coniston to Barrow Challenge on 12th May. They walked 21 miles in 7 hours,(including stops).
They were part of a team from BAE Systems taking part in this major event, in which some entrants walk from Keswick to Barrow.
One third of the money raised in sponsorship goes to good causes in Cumbria and the larger part goes to the team’s chosen charity. The BAE Systems team’s chosen charity is Blesma, The Limbless Veterans.
The final total is not known yet but Judith and Mike have raised £463 (not including Gift Aid) through their efforts, and are very grateful for the kind support and generosity of White Church members, who contributed a large part of this amount.
