The Strawberry Tea held in the Dawson Hall of the White Church on Saturday 20th July was a great success. It was a really good social occasion and raised £300 for Church funds.
The weather wasn’t good enough to have tables outside but there was a lovely atmosphere inside, with Marie Pilgrim having, once again, decorated the hall beautifully.
A feast of strawberries, scones and cakes was laid on by the hard-working team from the White Church, led by Valerie Aitken, Church Life and Fundraising Secretary.. There was a raffle and book stall and we even had some impromptu piano playing from John Cooper to add to the pleasant atmosphere.
It was altogether, a most enjoyable affair.
