Janet Sherwood continues to run a Traidcraft stall in the White Church almost every Sunday with others from the White Church Outreach Group helping on an “ad hoc” basis. Janet also supplies Fairtrade goods to other churches and to schools.
Fairtrade Advent calendars are sold and the profits used to purchase more calendars that are donated to Brian House Children’s Hospice, Fylde Foodbank, Children’s Centre and Home Start. Many Fairtrade Easter eggs containing the real Easter message are sold and Easter eggs are donated in a similar way to the Advent calendars..
The “Big Brew” held at the end of Fairtrade Fortnight in the Dawson Hall of the White Church is an annual fund-raising event that features a raffle and tombola of Fairtrade goods donated by local supermarkets,
